LIVE anyway

The name of my blog is inspired by a Martina McBride song. A few years ago, I came to the harsh reality that you don’t always get what you want, even when your motives are pure and you’ve tried your hardest. My faith was also greatly tested. I guess I started living my life (and still do) like the song. “God is great, but sometimes life ain’t good.” “When I pray, it doesn’t always turn out like I think it should, but I do it anyway.” The song also talks about chasing your dreams even though you may never get them; might lose them if you do; but it’s worth going for anyway. As “Anyway” was already taken I chose “LIVE Anyway” because that is what I intend to do -- despite what may or may not come my way. I encourage you to do so too!

  1. Love it!!! I love that song my Martina and love this as a tilte for your blog. I think it speaks volumes. Live anyway, despite what ever's going on in your life....just live. I think that's a great thing to remember and keep with us as we go about our busy days.
So here's to many more blogs from you! I look forward to reading them. And from one blogger to another -- if you accidently go on hiatus for a week, a few weeks or even a few months....always jump back in when it hits you. Never feel like it's too late or your break has been to long. You're regular readers will stay and it might hit new readers at just the right time, in just the right moment!!

    Life happens, write anyways!!!!

  2. Hi Susan! I love the name of your blog! I also have a quote that sticks in my mind when life tries to knock me down. "Only one way to go...FORWARD!" There have been many times in my life when I just did not have it in me to get back up in circumstances such as you have mentioned, basically being persecuted for righteousness sake!" It is the worst type of pain to be doing something good and having the ones who are supposed to love and support you the most, falsely accuse and "hate" you. I guess it is the closest we will ever relate to how Jesus felt. So I am with you sister! I appreciate you letting me know of your blog. Write on...!

  3. it's a great title and I really think it's a good idea to be writing! the title reminds me of my favorite point from sunday's talk, getting your destiny requires that you learn how to navigate disillusionment.

  5. Hi Teddianne - it is soooooo hard when you do it all right and it goes all wrong (especially when it comes to loving people). I remember you writing something on Facebook a while back - do you have a blog?

  6. Thanks Lucas. I actually wrote this last Tuesday but it's happened a few times lately where I've written something and then you talked about the next Sunday in church.
